Retired from the Hurlingham Club, but starting a whole new busy life.We will miss the instantly recognisable figure of David in his smart black jacket and striped trousers.
David chatted to me about his plans when he stops working for Hurlingham in June 2006 He talked about the charity in his street in Fulham, for whom he plans to offer three days a week of his time. Then there comes a chance to do some long delayed travelling. "Nothing abroad. No airports for me". This will include visits to his Cornish cottage, a long awaited chance to explore the Lake District and a lifetime's desire to take a look at Blackpool.
Yes, he admits he will miss Hurlingham. But, as you look at the expressions in these images you will see that his memories are a delightful mixture of happy ones tinged with the inevitable odd moments of slight sadness.
